Without formal culinary training, he honed his skills by experimenting with ingredients, blending authentic flavors with creative flair. What started as a necessity became a passion, leading to the creation of unique, home-cooked Nepalese dishes.

Abhishek Sainju has made it his mission to take Birmingham on a global culinary adventure, blending the vibrant flavors of his Nepalese heritage with influences from Southeast Asia, Hawaii, and beyond. Sainju brings a deep love for authentic, soulful dishes—from his daring "Wham Bam Birmingham" sushi roll to spicy momo dumplings and the comforting warmth of Tibetan thukpa soup. His journey started with a sushi pop-up, but his passion for food quickly turned into something bigger when he co-founded Bamboo, captivating the local dining scene as executive chef. In 2017, he opened his own restaurant at The Summit, now in Mountain Brook, he continues to create bold, innovative dishes that connect people through shared experiences and unforgettable flavors. Whether you're craving something familiar or a dish with a story, Sainju’s cooking is a celebration of food, culture, and community.
